Stephanie Vaquer Beats Liv Morgan for WWE Women's World Title in Surprise Win at Live Event

Stephanie Vaquer is a two-time WWE Women's World Champion.

Vaquer reclaimed her title by defeating Liv Morgan at WWE Live Saturday night in Santiago, Chile.

Vaquer previously held the Women's World title for 210 days before losing to Morgan at WrestleMania 42 in May.

Morgan most recently defeated Vaquer when the two faced one another Monday at WWE Raw .

Adam Pearce announced Friday on social media there would be a rematch for the women's world title at the live event in Santiago because of interference from Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.

Becky Lynch served as a special guest referee for Saturday's match. She stopped counting at one point when Morgan had Vaquer pinned before Vaquer came back to win the match.

Lynch seemingly helped secure a second world title for Vaquer, who claimed her first title at the 2025 Women's Crown Jewel Championship by defeating Tiffany Stratton.

She defended the championship against Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez, both separately and in a triple threat match , before first losing to Morgan in April.

Vaquer later said in an episode of Netflix's WWE Unreal she felt that loss had come at the right time because her body needed a break, per Wrestling Inc's Daisy Ruth .

F4W Online's Bryan Alvarez (h/t Wrestling Inc's Samantha Schipman ) reported at the time Vaquer was believed to have suffered a legitimate high ankle sprain.

Whatever injuries Vaquer was reportedly dealing with in the past apparently didn't stop her from taking advantage of Saturday's rematch.

Vaquer's win marked the first WWE title change during a live event since Andrade El Idolo defeated Rey Mysterio for the men's United States title in 2019 at Madison Square Garden, per The Takedown's Rick Ucchino .
