Why you should keep starting Jaguars WR in fantasy football after down week
Despite a quiet Week 4 performance, one fantasy football analyst believes you should continue to start this Jaguars' wide receiver.
Last week was relatively quiet for Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Parker Washington, who caught just one pass for seven yards, while totaling just 2.0 fantasy football points.
However, if you're debating whether or not to start Washington this week, ESPN's Eric Moody is here to provide the obvious answer -- start him.
" Jaguars WR Parker Washington has scored at least 13 fantasy points in three of four games this season, so I wouldn't be too concerned about his 2.0-point Week 4 performance," Moody wrote. "He also had a 39-yard reception overturned."
While trying to project what the target share for each of the Jaguars' receivers will look like on a weekly basis in Liam Coen's offense can be a difficult task, through the second half of last season, Washington emerged as a favorite target of Trevor Lawrence.
That high volume target share has continued into this season, with Washington hauling in 16 receptions on 25 passes through four games, not to mention that he's found success generating several explosive plays through the air as well.
League-wide, Washington has been one of the more efficient pass-catching targets, ranking 17th in PFF's yards per route run metric.
"Washington is in a good spot to bounce back against a defense that has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points per game to WRs and has struggled against slot receivers," Moody added.
