Falcons make changes to roster ahead of Week 9 game vs. Bengals
Falcons place Brian Robinson on IR, sign RB ahead of Bengals game in Madrid
The Atlanta Falcons made some last-minute tweaks to their roster ahead of Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals . The team placed running back Brian Robinson Jr. on the injured reserve list due to a hamstring injury. Robinson has missed the last two games and was ruled out for Week 9 on Monday.
In a corresponding move, the Falcons signed running back Khalil Herbert to the 53-man roster. Herbert was elevated from the practice squad the last two weeks to replace Robinson, and will now take his spot for at least the next four weeks.
The Falcons officially activated James Pearce Jr., but he remains questionable for Sunday's game in Madrid. Pearce practiced all three days this week but suffered a back injury on Friday that put his status up in the air.
In other roster news, Atlanta activated wide receiver Beaux Collins and linebacker Yasir Abdullah from the injured reserve list. Both players have a chance to play this weekend against the Bengals.
Last but not least, the Falcons have promoted edge rusher Drake Jackson as a standard practice squad elevation. The former second-round pick was released from the roster on Monday. Jackson can help fill if Pearce has to sit out.
