Rams are only 11th team ever to lose the way they did vs. Broncos

The Denver Broncos beat the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday night, but it felt more like the Rams beat themselves. Los Angeles lost a heartbreaker, 30-26 , blowing a 16-point halftime lead by allowing 30 second-half points – including 14 points in the final 5 minutes.

Based on the box score, you wouldn't have thought the game was close. The Rams had the ball for 34:29 out of the 60 minutes, picked up 26 first downs, went 8-for-17 on third down and racked up 482 yards of offense on 82 plays.

The Broncos , meanwhile, had just 257 yards of total offense.

According to Stathead , the Rams are only the 11th team in NFL history to lose a game where they had at least 480 yards on offense and allowed fewer than 260 yards to their opponent.

The last team to lose such a game was the Bills in 2022, a 21-19 loss to the Dolphins , where they allowed only 212 yards and had 497 yards on offense. Before that game, the Texans ' 34-28 loss to the Ravens in 2010 was the last time.

They found ways to lose, whether it was with Matthew Stafford 's pick-six, their 13 penalties for 91 yards or the poor play on special teams.
