📋 Grêmio line up to escape bottom four; Athletico target top three

This Thursday (29), Grêmio and Athletico-PR face off at the Arena in Porto Alegre at 9:30 p.m. (Brasília time), in the final match of Matchday 33 of the 2026 Brasileirão.

Grêmio sit in the first relegation spot (17th place) with just 34 points and are chasing a second straight win to push archrivals Inter (35 points) into the relegation zone.

Athletico-PR, meanwhile, sit fourth with 54 points despite going two matches without a win.

Cruzeiro and Fluminense have the same number of points, but the Minas Gerais side are one place above thanks to more wins (16 to 15), while the Rio de Janeiro side are one place below on goal difference (+12 to +10).

Compared with their last match (a 1-1 draw with Vitória), coach Odair Hellmann has brought Arthur Dias, Léo Derik and Portilla into Athletico-PR's lineup in place of Bruno, Gilberto and Jadson, respectively.

For Grêmio, who are coming off a 1-0 win over Coritiba, coach Renato Portaluppi has opted to bring in João Pedro and Enamorado for Diego Caito and Pavón, respectively.
