How to follow Italian Grand Prix on the BBC

Round 13 of the 2026 Formula 1 season heads to Monza, the home of Ferrari, for the Italian Grand Prix, from 4-6 September.

McLaren's Lando Norris took his second win in a row in the first race back from the summer break in a chaotic farewell to the Dutch Grand Prix.

Norris has since signed a new contract with McLaren that will keep him with the team until the end of the 2030 season.

Mercedes' George Russell, who won the sprint race at Zandvoort, was fastest in Friday practice at Monza, 0.120 seconds quicker than the Ferrari of Charles Leclerc.

Russell's team-mate Kimi Antonelli, who will start Sunday's race from the back with a grid penalty due to a new engine, was just 0.021secs behind Leclerc.

Red Bull's Isack Hadjar will miss a second consecutive race because of a wrist injury and will again be replaced by Liam Lawson.

Lawson's spot at Racing Bulls is again filled by reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda.

Lights out for Sunday's 53-lap race will be at 14:00 BST on Sunday.

The forecast predicts a glorious if very hot weekend for the Italian Grand Prix, which has been declared a heat-hazard race by F1's governing body, the FIA.

Friday's practice sessions saw high temperatures of 34C, while Saturday's final practice and qualifying is expected to be warmer again at 35C.

Sunday's race, which starts at 3pm local time, is set for highs of 33C, with all three days of track action dry with no risk of rain.
