Tennessee Titans' Calvin Ridley: 'Don't listen to the noise outside'

The Tennessee Titans returned to the practice field on Thursday to prepare for their season opener against the New York Jets on Sunday, and multiple players met with the media afterward.

One of those players, wide receiver Calvin Ridley , has been rather quiet throughout training camp, although he is the veteran in the room. That changed on Thursday, when he opened up about what he is seeing as he enters his third season in Nashville.

"I like everything (coaches) have been doing. They all have a lot of experience, especially with (OC Brian) Daboll being in our room, coach (Robert) Saleh being the head coach – and all of them being head coaches before. They're very calm. I have a lot of confidence in us. We've looked good, so just don't listen to the noise outside; just play our football."

Ridley has been quiet both on and off the field throughout preseason and training camp, as he works his way back from the leg injury that ended his 2024 season early. Now, after the offseason additions of Carnell Tate and Wan'Dale Robinson, he looks to take a new role on the offense and is no longer the Titans' most important threat on the outside. Something that could pay dividends as the season wears on.
