Oba Femi Beats Bron Breakker by DQ as Bronson Reed Returns at WWE SNME After Lesnar's Retirement

Coming off his SummerSlam victory over Brock Lesnar, Oba Femi defeated Bron Breakker at WWE Sunday Night's Main Event after Bronson Reed made a surprising return to the ring that led to Breakker's disqualification.

Femi's reward for the win was a massive beatdown following the bell.

After splitting his first two meetings with Lesnar at WrestleMania 42 and Clash in Italy, Femi scored arguably the biggest win of his career at SummerSlam, beating Lesnar in a Hell in a Cell match.

Lesnar announced his retirement shortly thereafter, and Paul Heyman was highly complimentary of Oba and his future prospects in WWE coming out of SummerSlam.

That didn't sit well with Breakker, who was once viewed as the future of WWE by Heyman, particularly when he first joined The Vision alongside Seth Rollins.

However, with Rollins long gone from the group and Lesnar returning to the mix at the time, Heyman seemingly lost interest in The Vision and ceased being as closely involved with the group as he once was.

That, coupled with Heyman showing immense respect for Femi, seemingly caused Breakker to question whether Heyman still viewed him in the same light as he used to.

That led to a segment on Raw a few weeks ago, which saw Femi and Breakker come face to face with Heyman serving as a mediator of sorts.

The Ruler mocked Breakker for incessantly pestering Heyman about his opinion on the true future of WWE, prompting Heyman to propose a match between them for Sunday Night's Main Event in Breakker's hometown of Atlanta.

After the match was made official, Breakker seemed satisfied and shook hands with Femi, but he was taken aback when Heyman shook Oba's hand as well.

Breakker was out to make a statement at Sunday Night's Main Event, but Femi stopped him in his tracks and continued to build momentum toward a potential future world title opportunity.
