Southern Miss football vs Arkansas State start time announced for Week 7 game

The start time for Southern Miss football's Week 7 home game against Arkansas State was announced on Oct. 5.

The Golden Eagles (1-3, 0-0 Sun Belt) will host the Red Wolves (2-3, 0-1) at 6 p.m. CT Oct. 17 at Renasant Stadium. The game will stream on ESPN+.

Southern Miss leads the all-time series 11-4, including a 27-21 win in 2025. The teams first played in 1960.

Southern Miss coach Blake Anderson coached at Arkansas State from 2014 to 2020, compiling a record of 51-37 and winning two Sun Belt Conference titles. He did not coach against the Golden Eagles during his tenure there.

Southern Miss will play at Troy (2-2, 0-0) on Oct. 3 (7 p.m. CT, ESPN2). The Golden Eagles have lost three straight; their only win was 49-3 against Alcorn State on Sept. 5.

The Red Wolves will host South Alabama Oct. 8. Their most recent result was a 23-20 loss to Louisiana. Arkansas State's wins came against West Georgia and Kennesaw State.
