Eintracht Frankfurt members have chosen Mathias Beck as club president again by an overwhelming result.
In his election speech, Mathias Beck set out his vision and aims for the next four years to the roughly 1,400 members in attendance. It will be Beck's first full term as president, having succeeded Peter Fischer two and a half years ago.
Beck painted a clear picture of how he imagines Eintracht in the coming years, the milestones he wants to hit and what is required to achieve them. With steady growth in the membership of the club's more than 50 sport sections and fan department, the 55-year-old is looking to reach the mark of 200,000 members. To support the growth in sport, particular attention will be paid to sports facilities infrastructure. He stressed that this will require cooperation with the State of Hesse and the City of Frankfurt.
Other key areas include the modernisation of the organisation, promotion of volunteering as well as social responsibility beyond the sport. With regards to professional football, Beck outlined the future path, emphasised the importance of collaboration between the e.V. (registered association) and AG (corporation), and spoke unequivocally in favour of the 50+1 rule.
"It's been a long and emotional evening," he said. "I thank the members for the confidence placed in me and the overwhelming vote. I perform this role and the duties involved with great enthusiasm. There is much to do in many areas of Eintracht. I have clear ideas about what I want to achieve with this club and with you in the coming years."
Treasurer hands over with record results
Vice-president and treasurer Dominik Berker provided the members with detailed insights into the 2025/26 financial year, which was hugely successful. The club achieved a net income of 2.7 million euros after tax – the highest ever. Crucial to that were increased income from the trade mark licence agreement, higher membership contributions and increased sponsorship income.
"Together, we have put the finances of our club on a stable footing in recent years and made important decisions for the future," summarised Berker in his final speech as treasurer. "I am stepping down from my post with the satisfaction that the club is in an excellent position, both financially and structurally; that the tax audits for previous years have been completed; and that the financial accounting system has been almost entirely digitised. Furthermore, we can report record turnover and a record annual profit." Berker had already decided before the general meeting that he would not stand for another term.
Executive committee set to remain in current form
Beck's executive committee should comprise current vice-presidents Moritz Theimann, Armin Kraaz, Stefan Minden and Benjamin von Loefen. In accordance with the articles of association, the vice-presidents are appointed by the election committee and the supervisory board, at the suggestion of the president and following the general meeting. A decision is expected by the end of October.
