Tennessee Titans vs. Philadelphia Eagles: Week 2 staff picks and predictions

The Tennessee Titans (0-1) will take on the Philadelphia Eagles (1-0) this Sunday afternoon at Nissa Stadium in their second game of the 2026 regular season.

The Titans come out and put on a better performance against the Eagles, but the Eagles' rushing attack eventually takes control before quarterback Jalen Hurts hits Dallas Goedert to pull away. Cam Ward is better, but it is nowhere near enough, and the Titans come up short.

There's really not much to say about the Titans anymore after their ridiculous loss to the Jets . They had no answer for Breece Hall , and even if Cedric Gray returns, they won't have an answer for Saquon Barkley . Simmons can't do it alone, and even if the line managed to slow Barkley down, I don't have much faith in the Titans' tackling ability outside of Anthony Hill. Offensively, I expect Cam Ward to be on the run for most of the game again. This line won't have an answer for Jalen Carter , and it's going to show.

The disappointing start to 2026 won't change on Sunday for the Titans. They're going up against a complete Eagles team who will steady their feet after an uneven Week 1 performance, and ultimately run away with things late. After the game, offensive coordinator Brian Daboll will say the performance wasn't good enough and that starts with him.

Call me crazy, but I think the Titans will be competitive this week. The Eagles' offense isn't quite the same without A.J. Brown . And we know Week 1 can be a little fluky sometimes. Now, I am not saying the Titans will be great this year, but I do think they look much better against a much stronger opponent. Ultimately, scoring against Philly's stout defense will be too difficult.

The beginning of the Robert Saleh era could not have gotten off to a worse start. The Titans looked completely overwhelmed by a Jets team that was supposed to be in the same tier as them coming into the season. Now, Brian Daboll's offense has to figure out a way to move the ball against a Vic Fangio defense that is probably licking its chops. Saquon Barkley finds the end zone twice while the Titans fail to contain Dallas Goedert. It's going to be a long year in Nashville.
