Los Angeles Rams fans were outraged after the Denver Broncos pulled out a come-from-behind 30-26 win on Sunday, and not just because the Rams blew a 16-point halftime lead.

What appeared to be a game-sealing interception by Josh Wallace with just over one minute left in the game was instead ruled pass interference, giving the Broncos a fresh set of downs.

They ultimately turned that penalty into points with quarterback Bo Nix 's touchdown run with 47 seconds left.

The Broncos receiver involved in that interception-turned-penalty, though, appears to have admitted he played up the situation to try to get the refs involved.

Speaking with Romi Bean of CBS Sports Colorado , Broncos wide receiver Pat Bryant initially laughed when asked point-blank if it was indeed pass interference.

"It was a little pass interference," he replied. "I did sell it just enough, you know what I'm saying, to get the flag, but he did give me a little nudge that I felt, and I felt like I couldn't get the ball. So, it was either the ball or the call, and we ended up getting the call."

Bryant then agreed with Bean that Wallace "definitely gave me a shove."

He also expounded upon Bean's question if NFL players were learning "the art of the flop" like soccer and basketball players have.

"Oh yeah, of course," he responded while a clip of the play is shown. "Boom, you see it here. Once they give you that push, it's either illegal contact or pass interference. I know that's the biggest thing going across social media right now. I can't even open my social media without seeing the video, but it's something a lot of people do in this league, so I kind of use it to my advantage."

If the comments were any indication, Bryant's answers will only stir up more controversy, not settle the matter.

And that makes sense, as the call clearly could have gone either way.

Bryant admitting that he chose trying to get the call over trying to catch the ball is inflaming the emotions of those Rams fans who already thought they'd been cheated.

It's too late to change the result, though, and the Rams now sit at 1-2 amid a tough start to what was supposed to be a special season .

If the Rams can take down the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, though, it's likely to feel like everything is back on track.
