WWE women's champion Chelsea Green won the Women's Crown Jewel Championship on Saturday, as she defeated women's world champion Liv Morgan at the Crown Jewel premium live event.

However, Tiffany Stratton surprisingly took advantage of her friend after the match by cashing in her Money in the Bank contract to beat Green for the WWE Women's Championship.

Green beat Morgan with a roll-up after avoiding her Oblivion finisher, leading to a raucous celebration, much to the delight of the Saudi Arabian crowd:

While cutting an emotional promo about her victory, Green was attacked from behind by Morgan, and Stratton ran out in an apparent effort to make the save.

Stratton's apparent rescue was a ruse, though, as she hit Green in the face with the Money in the Bank briefcase and pinned her to become champion.

Morgan vs. Green came into focus in recent months, as Green won a ladder match for the vacant WWE Women's Championship at SummerSlam in August, while Morgan won a Triple Threat match against Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch at Money in the Bank in October to become women's world champ.

Both Morgan and Green faced some tough obstacles en route to Crown Jewel, though, as they were tasked with putting their titles on the line.

On the Oct. 26 episode of Raw, Morgan unexpectedly had to defend the Women's World Championship when Vaquer was not medically cleared to compete in a No. 1 Contender's match against Lynch.

Lynch was given a title shot as a result, and she seemed to have Morgan beaten until The Judgment Day interfered by attacking her, thus causing the disqualification.

Both Green and Iyo Sky ran down to save The Man from further damage, and Stratton nearly cashed in her Money in the Bank contract on Liv before Dominik Mysterio pulled her out of the ring.

Days later on SmackDown, Green had a title defense against Nikki Bella, and it was a successful one, as Chelsea rolled up Nikki for the win.

Morgan confronted Green after the match, and while Liv was distracted by Stratton making her entrance, Chelsea laid her out with the Unpretty-Her.

Stratton tried to cash in on Morgan again, only for The Judgment Day's Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez to prevent it.

There was no shortage of tension between Morgan and Green entering Saturday's match, and while Chelsea got some retribution, it was Stratton who got the last laugh.
