The Jaguars played to the elements and utilized running backs Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez running and receiving. Tuten became the first Jaguars back in team history to rush for more than 100 yards (104), catch passes for more 50 yards (two for 55, and score a TD both ways. Rodriguez added 41 yards and both players gave coach Liam Coen the burst he was looking for from the running game.

QB Trevor Lawrence was sacked three times and he fumbled the ball away once, dropping the grade down a notch. In fairness, the offensive line had to be shuffled again but the strip-sack came after OT Cole Van Lanen , usually their steadiest lineman, got fooled on an inside move by the Colts' Jaylan Tuimoloau. But Lawrence was otherwise efficient, spreading his 10 completions among eight receivers.

Because of the emphasis on running the ball out of multiple tight-end sets, the Jags' wide receivers had a quiet day. But Brian Thomas Jr., opened the scoring with a 12-yard TD reception, and as a group they all blocked well.

Given the early injuries to S Eric Murray and NT DaVon Hamilton , the defense turned in a superb job and never allowed the Colts an answer. The pass rush returned with four sacks and 10 quarterback hits, and who had the following players getting turnovers on their bingo card: Rayuan Lane (92-yard interception return), Branson Combs and rookie edge rusher Bryan Thomas Jr. Colts RB Jonathan Taylor has yet to rush for 100 yards in Jacksonville and after a 19-yard run on the Colts' first offensive play, he had only seven carries for 4 yards.

No need for Cam Little to produce a 60-yard field goal this week. Punter Logan Cooke averaged 48.7 yards on a season-high six attempts and had punts downed or fair-caught inside the 6-yard line three times. Branson Combs had a couple of big special teams hits. Kickoff return defense remains a bit bothersome.

The mark of a Liam Coen-coached Jaguars team so far is that the team wins the games they're supposed to win. The Jags were double-digit favorites over an opponent in disarray and took care of business. The injuries to Hamilton and Cleveland may be costly down the road, but only if the front office doesn't address it, which they likely will.

The Jaguars also had their fewest penalty yards (65) since week three against New England.

Coen has said several times this season that it's crucial that the team win all six games in Jacksonville. They're halfway there.
