Kentucky basketball coach Mark Pope had a breakthrough earlier this offseason by landing his first five-star recruit in Ryan Hampton. It's a great first addition to the 2027 class, but Pope is in the hunt for more, including guard Adan Diggs .

The Wildcats offered Diggs back in May, and have kept up communication with him, which led the guard to include Kentucky in his final seven last week. Now, per On3's Joe Tipton , Kentucky has set up a visit with Diggs as well, and will be in Lexington on Oct. 22-23.

Diggs is a 6'4", 180 lb combo guard out of Arizona. He is currently rated five stars by 247Sports and ranks as their No. 6 overall player in the 2027 class.

Arizona, being his home-state school, is the early favorite. However, Kentucky joined them in Diggs' final seven along with North Carolina , Arkansas, Kansas, Southern California , and the Duke Blue Devils , making a lot of elite competition for his services.

Adding a gifted scorer like Diggs would be a huge win for Pope. Diggs is an effective shooter, a good defender, and a terrific athlete. Getting him into Wildcats blue will be a priority, and they'll take their swing at him next month.
