Here are the changes to the LSWA’s Week 8 football poll
Notre Dame takes the top spot in the Class 2A football poll after Calvary Baptist dropped from the No. 1 ranking.
There were few changes at the top of the five Louisiana Sports Writers Association polls after eight weeks of high school football.
Class 2A No. 1 Calvary Baptist's 24-7 loss to Class 4A No. 4 Shaw prompted the Cavaliers (7-1) to drop out of the top spot in 2A and be replaced by undefeated Notre Dame (8-0). Barbe (7-1) joined the 5A ranks at No. 9 and Jennings (6-2) joined the 3A poll at No. 10. Undefeated Vinton (8-0) made it into the 2A poll at No. 9.
The poll is voted on by a panel of Louisiana sports writers from across the state.
