Ahead of Sunday afternoon's clash on the road against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced their inactives for the game.

Cornerbacks Sean Murphy-Bunting and Terell Smith will watch from the sidelines, along with rookie running back Eli Heidenreich.

Murphy-Bunting previously played for the Buccaneers along with Steelers teammate Jamel Dean, who makes his return to Raymond James Stadium after signing a free agent deal to join Pittsburgh in the offseason.

Veteran tailback Rico Dowdle (toe) could be back in the fold with Jaylen Warren, who starred for the Steelers last week and scored two long touchdowns.

Undrafted rookie defensive tackle Kevin Jobity Jr. will have to wait to make his NFL debut.

Rookie third-round pick Drew Allar , who hasn't had a helmet for a game this season yet, also won't suit up, with Will Howard serving as Mike McCarthy's emergency No. 3 quarterback.

Receiver Ben Skowronek, whose calf ailment will keep him out and added to the team's woes at wideout, wasn't placed on injured reserve, unlike Michael Pittman Jr. (foot) and Roman Wilson (finger/hand).

The Steelers will have receiver DK Metcalf and tight end Pat Freiermuth, who popped up on the injury report later in the week with an illness and a calf issue, respectively.
