Former Sixers forward Robert Covington lands job with alma mater

Robert Covington is a true champion of "The Process" era with the Philadelphia 76ers . An undrafted forward out of Tennessee State University and looking to earn his spot in the league after a season with the Houston Rockets , Covington then spent 4-plus seasons with the Sixers and earned that spot with hard work and a much-needed skillset.

Covington developed into one of the best 3-and-D players in the league. He was named to the All-Defensive First Team in 2017-18 and became a key piece for the Sixers in their turnaround. He carved out 11 years in the league with the Sixers, Rockets, Minnesota Timberwolves , Portland Trail Blazers , and Los Angeles Clippers .

As Covington transitions into his new chapter, he has earned a job with his alma mater as Chief Basketball Officer of Tennessee State's men's basketball program.
