Jefferson, Roosevelt 2026 Presidents Bowl winners

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The 34th Presidents Bowl took place at Howard Wood Field on Saturday afternoon featuring all four Sioux Falls public high schools, in the main events of the day Roosevelt edged Washington 27-7 while Jefferson dominated Lincoln 42-14.

In the second and final game on Saturday, Jefferson's offense kicked things into another gear once again to cruise to a victory. We've seen them put up 40+ points in each of their three wins so far.

Cason Mediger was lights out under center for Jefferson again as he tossed multiple touchdown passes in this game, including one to Tyson Tycz, who also recorded a rushing touchdown too when he scored out of the wildcat formation.

Lincoln's offense was unable to get much going at all, thanks in large part to the stout defensive front of the Cavaliers. They certainly will need to get things back on track before playoffs begin. Lincoln moves to 1-2 after the loss and Jefferson improves to 3-0.

In the first Presidents Bowl game of the afternoon, Roosevelt felt they had something to prove and they did just that, finishing off a 27-7 win over Washington.

The Rough Riders opened the scoring with a very impressive 47-yard field goal from Carter Mekelburg, they'd score their first touchdown on a read option later as Weslee Werkmeister, the quarterback, took it in himself.

The Roosevelt defense held strong all game in this one, and was a big reason why they were able to come out victorious. The Rough Riders are 2-1 on the season while Washington falls to 1-2.
