USC wide receiver Terrell Anderson to undergo surgery, out for season

For the second time in the past week, a USC wide receiver has been ruled out for the rest of the year

On Saturday night, USC will visit Penn State in the Nittany Lions ' annual White Out game. With the two teams a combined 1-3 over the past two weeks, both sides will be desperate for a potential season-saving victory.

Ahead of the game, however, the Trojans got some rough injury news. Pete Nakos of On3 reported Friday afternoon that wide receiver Terrell Anderson will undergo surgery and miss the remainder of the season.

Anderson arrived at USC as a transfer from NC State this past offseason. He had already been dealing with injuries on the year, catching just two passes for 50 yards over the team's first six games.

Anderson is the second USC receiver to be ruled out for the rest of the season in the past week. Last week, the Trojans got the same news with fellow wideout Corey Simms.

The good news is that USC has depth at wide receiver. With Simms and Anderson out and Trent Mosley also missing notable time, however, that depth will certainly be tested.
