Jonathan Taylor trade: Indianapolis Colts running back's wife says process is 'driving me crazy'
Jonathan Taylor's wife is on pins and needles as the Indianapolis Colts field offers for the running back.
Will Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor play this weekend? How many carries will he get? Will the Colts trade him?
Colts fans have been pondering those questions for a few weeks now. Imagine how Ayanna Taylor feels.
The running back's wife, who has been discussing the process on social media, said this week: "This waiting game is driving me crazy. I feel like a prized calf waiting for the slaughter. Is going to happen today? Tomorrow? Is it never gonna happen? And I genuinely cannot decide what's worse: being blindsided and sent away or being the last one standing, knowing what may be coming for you."
Jonathan Taylor could be one of the big prizes for a contending team at the Nov. 10 NFL trade deadline . The Colts have been fielding offers for the 27-year-old seventh-year player.
See Colts RB Jonathan Taylor through the years
"You ever have the feeling that your entire life might change, but you just don't know when?" Ayanna Taylor said. "Well, welcome to my week, because that last game versus Jacksonville (a 42-7 loss) was rough. I've seen a lot of wins, I've seen a lot of losses over the years, but nothing quite like that. And now what are we supposed to do? Just wait?"
A few days remain before Jonathan Taylor's short-term fate is known, and Ayanna Taylor remains anxious.
"Something tells me we're not quite done with this chapter yet," she said.
