Patriots vs. Jets inactives: Offense gets a significant boost
Injury updates and more for the Patriots game on Sunday.
The New England Patriots exited their Week 5 game against the Las Vegas Raiders with some serious injury questions at left tackle and running back. And yet, one week later, those seem to have been answered: as previously reported , both Will Campbell and TreVeyon Henderson are indeed active versus the New York Jets.
The pair suffered respective knee and ankle injuries on the same drive against Las Vegas, with initial prognostications raising the possibility of them missing time due to their ailments. However, both practiced throughout the week albeit in limited capacity. Now, they are officially part of the game-day roster for Sunday's contest — a designation they are sharing with recently-activated wide receiver A.J. Brown.
As for the players who are out for Week 6, they look as follows:
The Patriots entered the weekend with two players already ruled out: cornerbacks Carlton Davis (neck) and Karon Prunty (hamstring) will miss a second straight game. Also joining them is fellow cornerback Channing Canada, whose own hamstring issue will also keep him out a second Sunday in a row.
In addition, Behren Morton, Tanner Arkin and Dametrious Crownover are on the inactives list as healthy scratches.
The Jets ruled out three of their starters on Friday, with none of Breece Hall (quad), Adonai Mitchell (finger) and Dylan Parham (knee) making the trip to Foxborough. That said, they did get some good news as well: first-round rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. (ankle) was recently activated off injured reserve and will play against New England.
Kickoff between the Patriots and Jets at Gillette Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET .
