Dodgers Move Teoscar Hernandez Down in Lineup Amid Cold Streak

The Los Angeles Dodgers set their lineup against the Atlanta Braves as they look to level up the series on Wednesday.

The Dodgers lost, 4-3, on Tuesday, failing to put together a late comeback after a leadoff Shohei Ohtani triple in the top of the ninth inning. Tyler Glasnow made his first start since returning from injury in the game and had a decent showing after a shaky first inning, but the Dodgers couldn't give him the run support he needed.

Roki Sasaki takes the mound for the Dodgers on Wednesday, looking to extend his streak of strong starts in the second half of the season.

Sasaki has a 4.42 ERA on the year, striking out 114 batters in 116 innings, but has looked infinitely better than he did in the first half. Since the All-Star break, Sasaki has a 2.31 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 35 innings, and has only allowed two home runs compared to 19 in the first half.

The Dodgers' lineup stayed fairly similar to Tuesday's loss, with Ohtani, first baseman Freddie Freeman and shortstop Mookie Betts occupy the spots at the top of the order. Third baseman Max Muncy still sits in the cleanup spot, and Tommy Edman remains at second base while following him.

Kyle Tucker plays in right field and bats seventh, and Alek Thomas moves up to the No. 7 spot in center field. Left fielder Teoscar Hernandez moves down to the No. 8 spot for Wednesday's game, and Hunter Feduccia rounds out the lineup behind the plate.

The Braves have right-hander AJ Smith-Shawver on the mound for Wednesday's game, giving the Dodgers a good opportunity to even the series. Smith-Shawver has a 6.23 ERA on the season through two starts, allowing six earned runs through 8.2 innings pitched and striking out seven batters.

The Dodgers' offense strung together a couple of solid innings in Tuesday's game, and will look to find the same success against Smith-Shawver in Wednesday's game, which begins at 4:15 p.m. PT.
