Preston sign winger Mills from Oxford United

Preston North End have signed winger Stan Mills from Oxford United for an undisclosed fee.

The 22-year-old made 43 appearances league appearances for the U's last season as they were relegated to League One, but he returns to the Championship having made one league appearance for Oxford this term.

Oxford boss Aaron Ramsey had previously said that he would move to the Lilywhites in January, however he has now signed a three-year deal at Deepdale.

"He's got excellent athleticism down the right-hand side, or the left if needed, and has good delivery into the box," Preston boss Paul Heckingbottom told the club website.

"I've been aware of him for a while but really thought he progressed last season and now he's come into his own."

Mills began his career at Leeds United before joining Everton . He made two EFL Cup appearances for the Toffees before a move to Oxford, initially on loan, in January 2025.
