Paulo Costa the latest addition to Eddie Hearn's representation

Eddie Hearn continues his purge of the UFC roster, with Paulo Costa the latest to sign under the Brit.

Hearn's Matchroom Talent Agency is an athlete and entertainment management company that provides promising fighters with better representation. Historically, Matchroom Sport has operated as a promotional powerhouse, but has since had a change of heart and opened up a talent management division earlier this year.

Following the acquisition of Tom Aspinall and Ian Machado Garry , Eddie Hearn has sought out Paulo Costa, who claimed to be the latest to join the growing team.

"I had a great meeting with Eddie Hearn; he's a great guy," Costa said. "I'm so excited to work with him. He already sent us a contract. So, yep. We have a contract. Eddie just sent us a contract already, so I'm so excited. I think we're going to do great things together. Great things."

When asked whether Hearn would be representing and managing him, Paulo Costa confirmed the news.

"He sent me [a contract] a couple days ago… Both [representing and managing]. The whole thing. I have so much respect for what he's doing. He's a great guy. A great professional. I think we're going to do great things together."

"I just need to send back the email. We have this, and I think everything's set up, and I'm so excited."

Being a prominent contender in both the middleweight and light heavyweight divisions, Costa could have had his pick of representation. Ultimately, he chose Eddie Hearn for the quality he brings to the sport .

"He knows the business. He handles business very well. He's a super important person in the fight business. Not only boxing, but he's coming to MMA right now. I think this is a great acquisition for the MMA community."
