Iowa football fans invade Seattle for Hawkeyes’ game vs Washington

SEATTLE — Iowa football fans have swarmed the city of Seattle for Friday night's Hawkeye game against Washington.

Hawkeye fans are well-represented in the Pacific Northwest, based on the amount of black-and-gold apparel in the Emerald City this week.

Iowa and Washington kick off at 8 p.m. CT. The Big Ten Conference game will be televised on FOX.

We'll get an idea closer to kickoff how many Hawkeye fans will pile into Husky Stadium. But it definitely has the vibe of a bowl game with reports of fans all over town. And the anticipation is heightened as backup quarterback Jeremy Hecklinski will make his first career college start, the Register confirmed, with starter Hank Brown still recovering from a sprained shoulder.

Here are some photos posted and submitted on X ahead of kickoff.
