Good morning, Illini fans. Here's what you need to know today:

Ohio State hands Illinois its first Big Ten loss

Illinois fell to No. 7 Ohio State, 42-19, Saturday in Columbus. Katin Houser threw for 263 yards and a touchdown, while Aidan Laughery rushed for 113 yards. Jeremiah Smith was the difference for the Buckeyes, catching 12 passes for 217 yards and four touchdowns.

Illinois returns to Champaign next Saturday for Homecoming against Purdue. Kickoff is set for 3:15 p.m. CT on Big Ten Network .

Illinois volleyball swept No. 23 USC, 3-0, Saturday night at Huff Hall. The Illini have now won six straight and are 10-3 overall and 2-0 in Big Ten play after back-to-back ranked wins.

Illinois soccer returns home today for a Big Ten matchup against Oregon. The Illini and Ducks kick off at 1 p.m. CT at Demirjian Park , with Illinois celebrating Senior Day.
