Former Bengals starter already cut by new team

A big-name former Bengals player heads back to free agency during NFL final cuts.

· 134 words

While the Cincinnati Bengals make their own final roster cuts , former players for the club continue to pop up in headlines around the NFL, too.

Case in point, former Bengals starting safety Geno Stone.

After leaving the team in free agency for the Buffalo Bills, Stone has been released at final cuts in Buffalo.

Injuries gave Stone a chance to make an impression with the Bills, but he's out and back on the market as that organization goes a different direction.

Stone was a polarizing figure for Bengals fans, to say the least, as the club's latest attempt to fix the Jessie Bates mistake. The Bengals moved on from Stone by signing Bryan Cook in free agency as part of the overhaul to start a new era with the likes of Dexter Lawrence.
