Salient Stats: LSU 35, Texas A&M 6

It's not exactly difficult to find stats that are salient in this one. The Tigers dominated the Aggies in pretty much every category imaginable in a game that only further reinforced that this 2026 Texas A&M squad is simply, and inexplicably, not good whatsoever.

0: Sacks for the A&M defense. A&M's secondary play has been pretty bad, and has been made to look even worse by A&M's inability to get consistent pressure on the QB. There is so much blame to go around on this team's underachievement.

8: Regular season games remaining, which almost feels like a punishment at this point.

4.5: Texas A&M's yards per carry if you take out Marcel Reed . The run game that was so critiqued early in the season is actually coming along nicely. But a combination of poor pass protection and Marcel Reed's inability to hit open receivers on a regular basis rendered it moot for the second straight week.

31.3: QBR for Marcel Reed. That was 105th out of 129 FBS QBs this week, with only four P4 QBs performing worse. Reed has yet to be ranked in the top half of FBS QBs in any week this season.

51.9/54: Average yards per punt from Tyler White (51.9) and the long field goal absolutely drilled by David Olano (54). It's a shame that A&M seemed to solve their kicking woes from last season on to see pretty much every other aspect of the team regress.

69.9: The highest PFF rating for any A&M offensive player on Saturday night. That's, uh, that's really really bad y'all.

100%: Interception rate for backup QB Brady Hart on Saturday night. Obviously he was inserted late into a bad situation, but having your only pass attempted picked off underscores the point that as bad as Marcel Reed has been, the Aggies likely don't have a better option on the bench either. Hard to believe A&M coaches let the QB room get to this point.

309: Total yardage advantage. No, I don't mean LSU had 309 total yards. I mean they had 309 MORE yards than A&M. Simply unacceptable play on both sides of the ball.
