Díaz enjoyed a fabulous 2025/26 in FC Bayern colors.

Changing clubs and changing leagues does not always make for the smoothest of transitions — as Bayern Munich fans know well. But last summer's arrival of veteran winger Luis Díaz from Liverpool could not have gone much better than it did. The Colombian international acclimated immediately, was a fixture in Vincent Kompany's XI, and notched 26 goals and 19 assists across all competitions as Bayern set and chased goals records domestic and abroad.

"It was a very, very special year for me. Coming here, to this great club, was truly spectacular," Díaz reflected during his interview with Sky Sport journalist Kerry Hau, as captured by @iMiaSanMia . "I was given an incredibly warm welcome. From the very first day, my teammates made me feel as though I had already been here for many years, and that was of course very important to me. I settled in quickly and felt comfortable.

"My family was also very quickly very happy here. And that's important as well. So I hope to stay here at FC Bayern for many more years and that we can continue winning lots of titles. That's what matters most to me: having goals and achieving them, with this great and special club."

Díaz certainly enjoyed a productive inaugural season in Bavaria. While this year's campaign has not gotten off to the same blistering start, it is surely only a matter of time before Díaz gets hot again.
