If there was one person who probably ran out of fingernails to bite during the battle between the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots at Lumen Field on Wednesday, it was team owner Vinod Khosla.

The new boss of the Seahawks was treated to a down-to-the-wire affair in Week 1. Fortunately, his team came out on top, 13-10, with cornerback Josh Jobe making the game-winning interception with 21 seconds left in the fourth quarter.

It was certainly a good start for Khosla's era. He, however, admitted that he became anxious watching the rematch of last season's Super Bowl.

"I'm going to get a cardiac test before the next Seahawks game. The team and 12s won it tonight. Hard to imagine a better roller coaster," wrote Khosla on X.

Maybe he should buy an entire hospital for his cardiac test.

The 71-year-old Khosla, who made his fortune in the technology industry and as a venture capitalist, bought the Seahawks from Paul Allen for a league-record $9.6 billion. He has a net worth of $15.6 billion.

Meanwhile, coach Mike Macdonald saluted his squad for staying resolute , especially after quarterback Sam Darnold left the game due to a hip injury.

"We didn't panic. We still liked our plan. We didn't need to change what we were doing or anything like that. We just wanted to stick to what we were doing," said Macdonald in a report from the Associated Press.

Wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba and kicker Jason Myers also came up big for the Seahawks. Smith-Njigba scored on a 45-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter, while Myers delivered the game-winning 26-yard field goal.

The Seahawks will face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2.
