The New York Giants traded offensive lineman Joshua Ezeudu to the Kansas City Chiefs on Tuesday in exchange for a 2028 seventh-round pick, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport . The deal came just before New York 's final preseason game against the New York Jets .

Ezeudu suffered a leg injury in the Giants' 26-3 win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 2 of the preseason. The 26-year-old was listed as day-to-day before being traded to Kansas City.

The Giants selected Ezeudu with the No. 67 overall pick in the 2022 NFL draft. He played in all 17 games and started three for New York in 2024. Ezeudu missed all of last season with a calf injury.

The Giants now have another draft pick two years down the line as they continue to shape the roster with younger talent. This is the second future selection New York has acquired recently, after the team received a 2027 sixth-round pick from the Jacksonville Jaguars in exchange for Daniel Faalele .
