Jalen Brunson always has a thing or two up his sleeve to take shots at his teammate Josh Hart . The star point guard recently had a lighthearted response to Hart's admission that the New York Knicks are already feeling the effects of fatigue early in the 2026-27 season.
After the Knicks lost 98-93 to the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, Brunson was asked about Hart's comments. He joked that his teammate's age might explain why he is feeling tired just six games into the campaign.
"Josh said he feels the fatigue? Well, Josh is old as s–t, so," Brunson told reporters.

Hart had acknowledged the team's physical struggles following the loss. The Knicks have played a demanding schedule after reaching the end of last season in June, leaving them with a shorter offseason than other teams.
"We all feel the fatigue, but we have to fight through it. Six games in, we have to make sure we get our bodies ready to play every day," Hart earlier said. "I think mentally, we're there. We just got to find it physically."
Hart also entered the season dealing with a finger injury that he cannot have surgically repaired until he retires. Despite that issue, he has continued to play as New York tries to find consistency.
The loss in Philadelphia dropped the defending champions to 2-4. The Knicks had started the season 0-3 after raising their championship banner, before earning consecutive wins over the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls. However, they have now lost twice to the 76ers this season.
