Eagles news: Saquon Barkley will play vs. Bears after Week 2 stinger

With the Philadelphia Eagles preparing for Week 3 against the Chicago Bears on Monday night, the team has been dealing with a key injury to running back Saquon Barkley . As there was an injury concern regarding the Eagles star in Barkley , any worry will be relieved after this latest update.

According to Zach Berman of The Athletic, Barkley will play on Monday against the Bears, as he had been dealing with a neck stinger.

" Saquon Barkley will play vs. the Bears. He's confident in how the recovery is going from his sting and believes he's in a good spot," Berman wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Suffering the neck stinger very early in the 24-20 win over the Tennessee Titans last Sunday, Barkley would even return to the game later on, but had missed the first few practice sessions before returning on Thursday. Barkley expressed that the "mindset is I'm good to go," further saying that he "might have to put on a little cowboy collar for a little bit."

"I don't think so," Barkley said about whether the injury will impact his play , via Berman. "No, that's why I'm rehabbing my a** off to get as strong as it needs to be. I feel like I'm in a really good spot. I know that they wouldn't let me go out there if I wasn't able to do it. … I'm gonna go out there and play fearless. Don't worry about it…I've dealt with a lot of injuries in my career, the mental side of it a little bit, so I'm excited. Feel good."

Fans will look forward to seeing Philadelphia and Barkley work to be 3-0 on Monday against Chicago.
