Penn State football announces themes for home games

HAPPY VALLEY, Pa. (WHTM) -- Penn State football announced themes for its home games this year.

The game that draws the most attention, the White Out Game , will be Oct. 10 when the Nittany Lions take on USC at 7:30 p.m.

For the home opener against Marshall on Sept. 5, the theme is the 11th annual "Stripe Out," where fans are encouraged to wear either white or blue depending on where they will sit.

The THON game this year will be when Penn State plays Buffalo on Sept. 19. Then, when the Nittany Lions take on Wisconsin Sept. 26, that will be the homecoming and helmet stripe game.

The game against Purdue on Oct. 31 will be the ALL-U Day game, then the Nov. 14 game against Minnesota will be the military appreciation game and Senior Day is Nov. 21 when Penn State plays against Rutgers.
