Miami Dolphins claim WR Ryan Miller off waivers from New York Giants

The Miami Dolphins claimed wide receiver Ryan Miller off waivers from the New York Giants on Tuesday and waived Tahj Washington to open a roster spot.

The Giants released Miller on Monday as they began trimming the roster ahead of the final cut to 53. The 6-foot-2, 221-pound veteran joined New York in December 2025 after being claimed off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and re-signed as an exclusive rights free agent this offseason.

Miller, a 26-year-old former Furman standout, spent most of training camp with the third team and never appeared in a regular-season game for the Giants. Joint practices and the second preseason game against Miami gave the Dolphins familiarity with him. In that contest, he played 32 offensive snaps and six on special teams but was targeted once and finished without a catch.

Originally signed by Tampa Bay as an undrafted free agent in 2023, Miller appeared in 25 career games with 14 receptions for 162 yards and three touchdowns. He also recorded 14 special teams tackles during his time with the Buccaneers.
