30 overs: Pakistan 147/5 (Nawaz 39, Minhas 6)

10 overs: Pakistan 46/2 (Babar 26, Saad Baig 9)
Pakistan reached 46/2 after 10 overs against England. Gus Atkinson delivered a dream start for England by removing Fakhar Zaman caught by Joe Root on the very first ball of the match. Sonny Baker later struck to dismiss Saim Ayub for 8, leaving Pakistan under early pressure.
Babar Azam has worked hard to anchor the innings, moving to 26 off 41 balls. He found a steady partner in debutant Saad Baig (9* off 12), who managed to relieve some pressure by dispatching Gus Atkinson for consecutive boundaries in the final over of the powerplay. Will Jacks kept things tight during a quiet ninth over as Pakistan look to rebuild through the middle phase.
England won the toss and elected to bowl first, so Pakistan will bat first.
Pakistan began the ODI tri-series with a 37-run win over Sri Lanka at the same ground on Sunday. Salman Ali Agha hit 107, Babar Azam added 45 and debutant Saad Baig made 39, while Shaheen Shah Afridi took three wickets as Sri Lanka were bowled out for 268.

Pakistan have named an unchanged side, while England have made one change with Adil Rashid coming in for Liam Dawson. Jos Buttler is injured and Jofra Archer has been rested. Brook said dew could play a part, and the sides last met in an ODI at Eden Gardens in November 2023, where England won by 93 runs. England lead the head-to-head 57-32 from 92 ODIs, with three no results.
