WWE Raw Live Updates, Results and Highlights Before Sunday Night's Main Event

When WWE heads to Mexico City, Penta will challenge Reigns for the world title. The OTC came out to the ring as Penta was celebrating.

Fenix hit a corkscrew to take Penta down at ringside. He hit a cutter, but Penta had to make it work because Fenix was about to miss.

Both men hit a couple of nice kicks to take each other down at the same time. Neither man could keep the upper hand for long, so the match was very competitive.

Penta popped Fenix into the air for a really cool powerbomb, but it only got him a two-count. He tried a hurricanrana, but Fenix flipped and landed on his feet.

He almost hit Penta with the Mexican Muscle Buster, but it got countered with a Penta Driver for a near-fall. They went out of the ring, and he hit another Penta Driver on the announce table.

When they got back into the ring, Fenix hit a nice hurricanrana for a two-count before Penta hit the Mexican Destroyer for the win.

The main event was the finals in the tournament to find a No. 1 contender for the world title. Penta and Fenix made their way to the ring for their first singles match in WWE as opponents.

The Lucha Bros shook hands before locking up and trading chest chops. They immediately turned it into a fast-paced exchange of takedowns and counters, but they came to a stalemate.

Fenix hit a couple of hurricanranas, but Penta countered a handspring with a dropkick before hitting a dive over the top rope.

Becky Lynch and Stephanie Vaquer had a confrontation backstage where they disagreed about whether Vaquer owes her anything.

Fenix was shown preparing for his match against his brother in the locker room.

Mysterio and McDonagh vs. Evans and Hendry Part 3

Mysterio made a blind tag so he could surprise Evans from behind with an attack. The Young OG spent a little time on defense while Judgment Day kept him cornered with double-team attacks.

Evans hit a move similar to Whisper in the Wind before making the hot tag to a fresh Hendry. He hit both opponents with a fallaway slam at the same time.

After McDonagh helped get control back, Mysterio ended up hitting Hendry with a frog splash for the win.

Mysterio and McDonagh vs. Hendry and Evans Part 2

Dirty Dom maintained control with some help from McDonagh's interference. He started taunting Evans and talking trash, which fired the young man up.

When the fight spilled out of the ring, Je'Von tried to get a running start around the ring, but McDonagh nailed him with a clothesline to cause a disqualification.

Joe Hendry ran down to make the save for Evans and take out both members of Judgment Day. Adam Pearce came out and restarted it as a tag team match.

Hendry and Evans easily took control, and Je'Von was able to run a lap around the ring before hitting a big dive.

Dominik Mysterio vs. Je'Von Evans Part 1

The next matchup saw Dominik Mysterio take on Je'Von Evans. As usual, JD McDonagh was with Dirty Dom for support.

Dom attacked Evans before he could get in the ring to get an early advantage. Evans told the ref he was good to go, so the bell rang and they got going. The Young OG immediately hit a few high-flying moves to take the AAA champion down.

McDonagh distracted Evans so Mysterio could hit a sneak attack. As we went to a break, Evans hit a big dive over the top rope.

Reigns said being the Tribal Chief is a burden because everyone wants what he has. He said instead of celebrating Penta and Fenix for making it to the finals of the tournament, he has to deal with other issues like Solo Sikoa.

He said he is going to make Solo acknowledge him and serve the family legacy, and he questions why he turned on the family to side with LA Knight. This brought out Knight to respond.

Sikoa was shown after having been attacked backstage, and Knight ran to the back to check on him. Once again, the blood was censored. Reigns attacked Knight when he got backstage.

Roman Reigns arrived backstage and told Fatu to handle his business with Keys because he has other things to deal with. He went to the ring for the next segment.

Page used the apron to trip Lee and regain control. He hit a nice suplex, but he still couldn't get the pin.

The Dragon hit a series of strikes as he started building up a head of steam. He jumped over the top rope and hit a nice hurricanrana to send Page into the announce table, but when he went for a second dive, Page countered.

All Ego sent Lee into Gable, who was sitting next to the commentators. Page tried to use an exposed turnbuckle to his advantage, but Gable snitched to the ref. The momentary distraction allowed Lee to hit Operation Dragon for the win.

All Ego used his size advantage to take control with a shoulder block. He caught Lee during a jump and slammed him to the mat before going after his neck.

Page had the upper hand for a couple of minutes, but one quick sequence in the corner put Lee in the driver's seat. He nailed a running dropkick in the corner for a quick two-count.

Gable talked about his history with luchadores and his journey to becoming the IC champion. He thanked the Mexican people for helping him see the way.

He said there are a lot of people deserving of a title opportunity before inviting Dragon Lee to the ring. Before long, Ethan Page came out and said it should be him who gets the title shot.

Gable said he was on the list of people who deserve a shot, but Lee took exception to being interrupted. Gable suggested they fight for a title shot right now.

WWE aired a video to hype Penta vs. Fenix for later in the show. It did a nice job highlighting their career together, even though they couldn't use any AEW footage.

Up next, Chad Gable came out for a promo.

Since the show was pre-taped, the Netflix feed cut away to a non-existent commercial break before coming back right away.

Sol hit a few nice moves that led to a missile dropkick. She ended up hitting a sunset flip powerbomb to take Raquel off the apron to the floor. Roxanne Perez and Liv Morgan ran to the ring, but Ruca took them out before they could do anything.

Lyra Valkyria ended up interfering and preventing the Sol Snatcher, which allowed Rodriguez to hit her finisher for the win.

Sol Ruca vs. Raquel Rodriguez (IC Title) Part 1

Ruca took on Raquel Rodriguez for the women's intercontinental title in the first bout. Before the match could get started, Jacob Fatu interrupted and got on the announce table to call out OTM and Keys. His mic was cut off after he started swearing.

When the bell rang, Raquel hit a clothesline to take control right away. She cornered the former champion for a series of back elbows.

Ruca used her speed and agility to knock Rodriguez out of the ring and hit a beautiful moonsault over the top rope to the floor. Rodriguez regained the upper hand for a moment, but Ruca kept herself in the fight.

Jey Uso was apparently busted open because his face was blurred out while people were checking on them. Back in the arena, Sol Ruca came out for the first match.

Raw opened with a shot backstage of OTM and Royce Keys attacking The Usos backstage.
