Penta won the 2026 men's Money in the Bank ladder match at the Money in the Bank premium live event on Saturday.

Penta outlasted a stacked field in New Orleans, beating out Bron Breakker, Je'Von Evans, Kevin Owens, CM Punk and Trick Williams to secure the Money in the Bank briefcase.

By virtue of his victory, the luchador earned the right to challenge for the WWE Championship or World Heavyweight Championship at any time or place of his choosing within the next year.

Penta won after hitting Breakker with a Mexican Destroyer off one ladder and then onto a second ladder below.

This match also featured a wild spot in which Breakker pushed Evans, who was atop a ladder, out of the ring and through the roof of an ambulance parked next to the squared circle.

Breakker had left Evans needing medical help after hitting him with a devastating spear.

Evans was taken away from New Orleans' Smoothie King Center in an ambulance, but The Young OG didn't find his way to the hospital.

Instead, he drove the vehicle back to the ring with his sights set on Breakker.

Other moments included Kevin Owens giving Lil Yachty, who was trying to help Williams, a Stunner.

Owens and CM Punk spent much of their time in this match fighting each other, and their animosity was abundantly clear from the very beginning.

Breakker's brutality was also present, and he inflicted a heap of pain on everyone involved.

No one was exempt from his spears in the latter portion of the match.

In the end, though, Penta was victorious.

A series of Triple Threat qualifying matches were held in the weeks leading up to Money in the Bank to determine the participants in Saturday's bout.

Breakker got the better of Rey Mysterio and Ethan Page, Evans beat Big Cass and Austin Theory, Williams outlasted Randy Orton and Rey Fenix, Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee, Punk took down Gunther and Finn Balor, and Owens bested Cody Rhodes and Johnny Gargano.

This year's men's Money in the Bank ladder match featured multiple Superstars who were looking to take the next step and put themselves in the conversation as a potential future world champ.

While winning Money in the Bank doesn't guarantee a world title win, there are few better ways for a wrestler to position themselves than securing the Money in the Bank contract.

Becoming Mr. Money in the Bank means getting to dictate the terms of a title match at any time, often putting the champion in a highly precarious position.

Penta is fresh off a World Heavyweight Championship match against Roman Reigns on Raw in Mexico City, and although he didn't come out on top, he pushed The Tribal Chief to the limit.

After proving he belonged in the world title and main event mix, Penta has a chance to cement himself in those conversations if he can cash in his Money in the Bank contract successfully.
