· 311 words

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has missed the last three games due to a high ankle injury. The Ravens desperately need him back after two straight losses. The Cincinnati Bengals crushed the Ravens 35-17 in Week 7. The Bengals scored 35 unanswered points.

Tyler Huntley did a commendable job as Jackson's backup, but the offense just isn't the same without the two-time MVP.

Jackson had thrown for 967 yards and four touchdowns before he got hurt in Week 4. ESPN NFL Insider Ian Rapoport 's reporting raised questions about when Jackson might return to the lineup.

Here's when the QB could be under center for Baltimore.

Will Lamar Jackson start in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills?

Ian Rapoport is reporting that Jackson should be ready to start in Week 8 against the Buffalo Bills . The NFL insider went into detail about his injury and said:

"First of all, I expect, based on the people I've spoken with, that Lamar Jackson will play this week. He will be on the field this week against the Buffalo Bills. I know he's been here before. This is a two- to three-week injury. He is,through the third week, he is believed to be as close to 100% as he has been. And the Ravens do expect him to play, and based on the people I'm talking with, I expect him to play as well."

Jackson didn't agree with Rapoport's original reporting about his ankle injury. He clarified that it was a high ankle injury. It will be an epic QB matchup with Josh Allen this Sunday. Allen has been great so far this season. The Bills are 5-1-0, and Allen has been a touchdown machine. He has recorded nine passing TDs and eight rushing TDs. Kickoff is set for November 1st at 2:00 PM ET. You can catch all the action on CBS.
