That's certainly the case this week, as the Eugene-Springfield area schedule includes Grants Pass at Willamette in a key 6A Special District 2 game.
Willamette (4-2, 2-0), sixth in this week's 6A coaches poll, has opened league play with shutout wins against visiting North Medford (28-0) and at South Medford (54-0).
No. 7 Grants Pass (4-2, 1-1) got a 33-13 win at North Medford two weeks ago before a 27-20 home loss to No. 5 Sheldon.
