TNA Lockdown 2026 Results, Winners, Live Grades, Reaction, Highlights

TNA's annual Lockdown event has finally arrived, and the company has booked 10 matches inside cages for the show in Chicago.

The Hardys vs. The Nemeths (Men's Tag Team Championships)

Allie and TBD vs. The Elegance Brand (Knockout's Tag Team Championships)

Cedric Alexander vs. Leon Slater (X-Division Championship)

The System vs. Fabian Aichner, Ricky Sosa, KC Navarro and Jada Stone

Jason Hotch vs. Mustafa Ali (International Championship)

Xia Brookside vs. Elayna Black (Knockout's World Championship)

Let's take a look at what happened at this year's Lockdown PPV.

The first match on the pre-show saw Vincent and Dutch battle BDE and Rich Swann. BDE and Swann did a choreographed dance during their entrance that did not impress The Righteous one bit.

The size disparity gave Vincent and Dutch a big advantage, and they made sure to use it as much as possible. It didn't take long for this to turn into a pretty physical match, but the crowd wasn't giving them much energy.

The pace eventually slowed, which made the lack of crowd noise much more evident, but all four guys tried their best to get people to pay attention. Things picked up after Swann got the hot tag, but The Righteous were able to score the win in the end.

Result: The Righteous defeated BDE and Swann

The second and final pre-show match saw Special Agent 0 take on Trey Miguel. This was a classic powerhouse vs. high-flyer combo, but Miguel's experience kept him from feeling like an underdog.

Even with a few minor hiccups, their initial exchange helped set the pace for the match. Much like the first match, the usually loud Chicago wrestling audience wasn't giving them much energy. Some fans tried, and there were moments when you could hear more reacting, but it was still unusually quiet most of the time.

Agent 0 put up a good fight, but Miguel ended up scoring the win with a pinning combination similar to a victory roll. They didn't get much time, but they made it count.

There was a couple of audio issues during the pre-show. Matthew Rehwoldt had a funny reaction when his mic had a problem.

The Righteous have such a unique aura and presentation. It's a shame that they haven't found more fame by now, but it's nice to see TNA using them.

The TNA ring being just a bit smaller than the usual WWE ring really stands out once you notice it.

Before coming to TNA, Agent 0 was known as Big Bill Collier, and it's worth taking the time to check out some of his work on the indies.

The cage came down as the pre-show was wrapping up. After the opening video, A.J. Francis made his way to the ring to take on Elijah.

The crowd was chanting for Elijah, but it didn't help him avoid a jumping knee from Francis to kick off the action. The singer recovered and hit a big clothesline before going to the top rope for Walk With Elijah across the top rope.

Francis had a hard time getting in any offense until he was able to send Elijah into the cage wall. From that point forward, it was a back-and-forth fight that saw both men hit some big moves.

Elijah was about to win with a huge Drifter Destroyer, but Expressions interfered and saved Francis. The Drifter spent a little too much time trying to get revenge, allowing Francis to hit his finisher for the win.

These two have been bitter rivals, and they did a good job making this feel like a personal grudge. The pace was a little on the slow side at times, but neither of these guys is known for being fast-paced, so it allowed them to sell everything a bit more than usual.

The fans were noticeably more vocal than during the pre-show, and it definitely helped with the vibe during the match. This was a good choice to start the show because it won't be the match of the night, but it was good enough to wake the crowd up.

During the pre-show, Indi Hartwell had a confrontation with Daria Rae. She said every decision Daria has made has been terrible, and then she made a terrible joke about her name sounding like the word diarrhea.

Chris Bey provided the theme for the show.

The powerbomb Elijah hit while Francis was on the top rope was cool.

Allie and a Mystery Partner vs. The Elegance Brand (Knockouts Tag Team Championships)

With Rosemary out of action, Allie was forced to find a new partner to defend the Knockouts tag titles against Heather and M. The mystery partner ended up being the returning Kiera Hogan, who is a former tag team champion in TNA.

Even though this was a cage match, it was stated that the match would be contested under standard tag team rules, so only one partner was supposed to be in the ring at a time.

Allie took control right away, but she brought in Hogan after a brief exchange to allow the returning star to shine for a bit. Mr. Elegance distracted the champions by climbing on the outside of the cage so his allies could take control.

The energy in this match was high, and you could tell all four women were putting in a good effort, but the way the match was structured prevented it from being as exciting as it could have been. Having normal tag rules in a match that usually has no rules just hampers what they can do.

Heather was small enough to crawl through the cage and retrieve some handcuffs that she used to keep Allie locked to the cage wall, but Kiera was still able to get the pin to help Allie retain the titles.

This match had some bright spots, but it never quite hit its stride. It will be interesting to see is Hogan takes over permanently as a tag champ or if Rosemary will be back soon.

Result: Allie and Hogan defeated The Elegance Brand

The Concierge made some jokes about The Bears leaving Chicago.

It's nice to see Kiera back on TV. It never felt like she got a fair shot in AEW.

It felt like this match would have been exactly the same without the cage. It served almost no purpose here.

The next bout was an Escape the Cage match between Moose and TNA original Frankie Kazarian. Moose had a special entrance with a throne and musicians. As Kaz made his way out, he took a seat in the throne to mock him.

Kazarian tried to escape the cage right away, but Moose kept bringing him back in because he wanted to fight. The big man had a chance to escape through the door, but he chose to lock it instead.

This was a one-sided fight for a long time, but when Moose was about to escape, Kaz gave him two middle fingers and made him angry enough to come back in and make a mistake.

It's hard to pinpoint exactly where the disconnect was, but something about this match didn't work. Both guys were trying, but it never felt like it had the intensity a feud as personal as this one should have.

It certainly had some good moments and spots, but they didn't flow together with the rest of the match. It wasn't until the last couple of minutes that it felt like they found their groove as opponents and really started to make this exciting.

The only way to win was by escaping over the top of the cage or through the door. Both men had a few close calls, but it was Kaz who got the win when Moose knocked him through the door. They telegraphed the finish from a mile away.

The violin and cello players during Moose's entrance were a nice touch.

Kazarian does a good job of making his punches look good. It's an underrated skill in this business.

Rehwoldt calling Moose the world's dumbest fiddle was a funny line.

Moose dropped some F-bombs that were very audible.

The Spanish Fly from the cage that Moose hit was the best spot of the match.

The Knockout's world title was on the line when Xia Brookside stepped inside the cage with Elayna Black, who received a nice reaction from her hometown crowd in Chicago.

Xia talked some trash to the crowd before she and Elayna locked up. They didn't seem to be in a hurry, so both women took some time to taunt each other a few times during their early exchanges.

The pace was much slower than expected, but once Black started bleeding from her head, Brookside started punishing her by using a belt buckle to dig into the wound. It definitely made things feel more brutal.

The match may not have had many exciting moments, but the blood alone made it feel more violent than anything that came before it on the show. Both women clearly wanted this to be a memorable encounter, and they succeeded in that regard.

Black put in a good effort, but Brookeside was able to get the pin and retain her championship. This was booked differently than expected, but that ended up not being a bad thing in the end. Black is definitely going to be remembered for her crimson mask.

The audio picked up all of the trash talk nicely. You could hear everything they were saying.

It looked like Black's head may have hit the cage harder than expected when Brookside dropkicked her into it. It's definitely the moment she started bleeding.

Jason Hotch put his International Championship on the line for the first time on Sunday inside the cage against Mustafa Ali.

Hotch wasted no time going after the man who had made his family's life miserable recently. Ali tried to avoid him, but he ended up with his feet caught in the cage, allowing Hotch to drill him with superkick after superkick.

Within the first two minutes, this immediately became the most exciting match on the show so far. Both guys were bringing all of the aggression you could ask for, and they were moving at a brisk pace to make things even more entertaining.

It took some time, but Ali eventually hit a DDT out of nowhere to turn the tide in his favor. Special Agent 0 took the key from the ref and opened the door for Ali, but Tasha Steelz closed it in his face.

Hotch ended up putting Ali through an announce table with a crossbody from the top of the cage, which was instantly the best spot on the show. Hotch appeared to be bleeding from the mouth after the fall, which led to the ringside doctors tending to him.

Ali took the opportunity to steal a toy from Hotch's daughter at ringside and almost set it on fire before Hotch came into the cage to stop him. Hotch did his best, but Ali won to reclaim the International Championship.

This was an incredibly entertaining match from start to finish.

Ali had a special entrance that involved him carrying a fake Tommy gun to the ring.

Hotch's sit-out powerbomb was really good. The way he and Ali bounced a little on the impact made it look great.

Ali's suicide dive through the cage door to Hotch was awesome.

Hotch hitting a couple of spots from the top of the cage made this the best thing on the entire show.

Cedric Alexander vs. Leon Slater (X Division Championship)

The X Division Championship match between Cedric Alexander and Leon Slater had the added stipulation that if Slater lost, his TNA records would be wiped from existence, meaning his record-breaking reign would no longer be recognized.

As soon as the bell rang, they started trading shots and didn't stop for a long time. Slater was the first one to take control with a couple of running kicks and a hurricanrana from the top rope.

Slater was bleeding from the head after a while, and it really stuck out against Alexander's all-white gear. Since this was also a Last Man Standing match, they never wasted time with pinfall attempts.

They didn't start milking the possible 10-count until later in the match after both men had taken a good amount of damage.

It was going to be hard to match the level of excitement in Ali vs. Hotch, but they did a good job making this bout feel different while still being enjoyable. Alexander and Slater are both very talented, so there was little doubt that this would be good.

Slater stole Alexander's finisher and hit three Lumbar Checks in a row before nailing the swanton 450. Ced was unable to answer the count, which made Slater the winner and new X Division champion.

Avery Styles appeared before this match. He had almost the exact same logo as his dad for the tron. He announced he is officially signed with TNA. Kaz welcomed him to TNA and said he can always trust him.

It will never stop being weird to see Alexander with vampire fangs.

Alexander's Michinoku Driver from the middle rope was great.

The eight-person Lethal Lockdown match was up next. A new competitor entered the ring every two minutes. Once everyone was inside, weapons became available to use. You can't win until everyone is in the ring.

Bear Bronson, Eddie Edwards, Bryan Myers and Alisha Edwards took on Fabian Aichner, Ricky Sosa, KC Navarro and Jada Stone.

The System had the advantage with entries, so they had the numbers advantage multiple times until all eight people were in the match. There were a lot of moving parts in this bout, but they didn't make it too hard to follow.

They had some good moments sprinkled throughout the fight, but it's hard to have this many people in a smaller ring than usual without it feeling overcrowded.

They made good use of the weapons, and we also got a little color during the match, especially from The System, who was able to get the win thanks to Eddie hitting a package piledriver onto some chairs.

This was a fun, violent showdown that picked up quite a bit in the second half.

Elijah was found after an attack backstage, but nobody knows who did it.

Navarro's dive through the door looked cool.

Stone's moonsault from the top of the cage was cool, but she basically landed standing up, and that could not have been fun for everyone to catch.

The Hardys vs. The Nemeths (Tag Team Championships)

Unlike the Knockouts tag title bout, this match was contested under tornado tag rules, so Matt and Jeff Hardy, Nic and Ryan Nemeth were all in the ring at the same time to fight for the men's tag belts.

Early in the match, Nic and Ryan both tried to escape the cage even though that was not a way they could win under these rules.

Nic and the Hardys are all veterans, and Ryan is by no means a rookie, so they were able to put together a decent show that played into their strengths as individuals and teams.

A table was brought into the ring, but it took them a long time to make use of it. Matt put Ryan through it with an elbow drop from the wall of the cage, but that didn't end the match.

Nic ended up htting his finisher on Matt to get the win in a moment that seemed to catch most of the crowd off guard. Several fans were shown looking baffled by the outcome.

Most of the match was fine, but the way it ended clearly left a bad taste in the mouths of many in attendance. Slater came out at the end and said his legacy in the X Division has been cemented, and he has one more goal. He challenged Nic to a world title match and handed his belt over to Carlos Silva.

The announcers pointed out that is Nic won, he would be the first person to hold the world and tag titles at the same time in 20 years.

Matt looked like he might have gotten injured early on, but he recovered quickly.

The return of TNA Lockdown was a bit of a mixed bag, but the night wasn't without its highlights.

Black and Brookside had a war that was as bloody as it was fun, Elijah and Francis put on a good show, and Slater regained the X Division title only to turn it over for a world title shot at Bound for Glory.

However, the highlight of the night was Ali vs. Hotch. Those two delivered a match that blew everything else on the show out of the water.

Avery Styles joining TNA is going to be met with mixed reactions online, but until we see what he can do, we won't know what his chances are.

The show was a tight three hours, and while some matches definitely left a lot of room for improvement, the good ones were enough to carry the PPV.
