Joe Burrow's comments even get a reply from Marvin Lewis

The latest set of comments from Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow created waves of reactions.

Those comments from Burrow were the usual stressing-urgency stuff about the upcoming season. Nothing unusual, with Burrow constantly talking about changing up his leadership style this offseason.

Even so, the comments even earned a reaction from former Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis.

During a sitdown with Trey Wingo , Lewis stressed that Bengals president Mike Brown wants to win and that Burrow's actions will always lead to new approaches.

"His words trigger action," Lewis said. "No question in my mind, they trigger action, because that man loves quarterbacks and he wants to win in the worst way."

It's easy to dismiss this at first glance. The Carson Palmer drama exists. And some of Lewis' examples, like losing Andrew Whitworth, were avoidable mistakes if the organization had been more proactive.

Even so, the Dexter Lawrence trade alongside the rest of the offseason moves hint at another evolution for the franchise. There's little reason to believe Brown and the Bengals won't be the party listening the most intently when Burrow talks, every time.
