Patriots news: Dave Portnoy could only laugh at NE announcer's reaction to Drake Maye's game-losing INT

The New England Patriots fanbase was not the happiest with how their team performed in their season opener against the Seattle Seahawks, and the team shouldn't be happy either. With the game in their hands for most of the night, it was the fourth quarter that doomed them, and it revolved around Drake Maye , who threw three interceptions.

It was the last interception that happened to be the worst, and Patriots color analyst Scott Zolak had the call . After the interception, Zolak said, "No he didn't," and Dave Portnoy thought it was the funniest thing ever.

I just heard the call from Scott Zolak of the game ending INT. Made me laugh at least 'No he didnt' right up there with 'Do You Believe in Miracles!'" Portnoy wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

Though Portnoy had a laugh at the call, it was obvious that he wasn't pleased with his favorite team's performance.

"Only the 1st game of the season, but that was tough to watch," Portnoy said in a video . "Horrible game from Drake. That last throw, disgusting. We lose A.J. Brown with what I guess is going to be a pretty severe injury. The other guy, new guy, [Romeo] Doubs, just had a disgusting drop. Play calling sucked most of the night, I thought, on offense.

"The game was right there for the taking, obviously. It's only Week 1, but that was a s—-y way to start the season because they're a lot better than that. That was F-minus s–t."

Everyone was probably thinking what Portnoy was thinking at the moment, and the Patriots definitely have to play better if they want to get back to the team they were last season.
