Patriots vs. Steelers inactives: TreVeyon Henderson is back

TreVeyon Henderson is officially back. The second-year running back, who missed the New England Patriots ' season opener in Seattle because of an ankle injury suffered in late August, is part of his team's game day roster for Week 2: he will make his season debut against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.

Henderson returned to practice on Monday and by Wednesday was already listed as a full participant . Two days later, he was off the injury report and set to return. Sunday's inactives list, which is six players deep, confirms the comeback.

As for those inactives, they look as follows:

The Patriots entered Sunday with two players unavailable: offensive tackle Dametrious Crownover and cornerback Carlton Davis were both already ruled out for the contest due to their respective knee and neck injuries. Joining them on the list are four healthy scratches.

Behren Morton and Walter Rouse were already inactive for last week's game against the Seahawks . Tanner Arkin and Leonard Taylor, meanwhile, have lost their spots on the game day squad.

The biggest names on Pittsburgh's inactives list have already been known: cornerback Joey Porter Jr. and wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. were both ruled out heading into the game. Whereas the former is officially dealing with conditioning and back issues — "contract dispute" is traditionally notlisted on the practice report — the latter is out for Week 2 with a foot ailment.

Kickoff between the Patriots and Steelers at Gillette Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET .
