India are currently fifth in the overall medal standings.India’s medal tally received a major boost over the last two days, with the contingent adding gold medals across boxing, wrestling, archery, hockey and golf. Lovlina Borgohain, Parveen Hooda, Ankush Panghal, Sujeet Kalkal, the Indian women’s hockey team, Kumkum Mohod and Pranavi Urs have all contributed gold medals to India’s latest surge.Kumkum also won silver alongside Dhiraj Bommadevara in the mixed recurve team event, while India’s women’s golf team of Pranavi Urs, Aditi Ashok and Diksha Dagar secured silver.On October 3, Kumkum Mohod added another gold by winning the women’s individual recurve event. The 17-year-old defeated South Korea’s Oh Yejin 6-5 in a shoot-off to become the first Indian woman to win an individual recurve medal at the Asian Games.
