Rams put lengthy AFC winning streak on the line against Broncos

The Los Angeles Rams take a lengthy AFC winning streak into the Mile High City when they face the Denver Broncos Sunday night.
LA has an eight-game winning streak against the conference, which dates back to the 2024 campaign. The last time the Rams lost to an interconference foe came in 2024 at home against the Miami Dolphins . Miami won it 23-15.

Turf Show Times' Kenneth Arthur pointed out before last season that the Rams have a winning record against the AFC in the 17-game era . Their record is 17-8, which includes a perfect 5-0 mark against the conference in 2025.
LA is 9-1 in its last 10 matchups against the AFC. Overall, the Rams have quite a strong interconference record under Sean McVay, going 29-13 since he took over in 2017, including the Super Bowl win over the Bengals .
Broncos similarly have a lengthy interconference win streak on the line
The Rams aren't the only ones riding a long interconference win streak heading into Sunday's game. Denver is looking to win its 10th straight against the NFC, which caught Broncos coach Sean Payton off guard during media availability earlier this week.
While the Broncos and Rams don't face off very often, Denver has struggled to beat LA no matter who's coaching.
In the McVay era alone, the Broncos lost to the Rams in 2018 with Vance Joseph roaming the sidelines as head coach, and then again on Christmas 2022 with Nathaniel Hackett. Hackett was fired shortly after the game, undoubtedly merrying up the holiday for Broncos Country that year.
The Broncos are on a five-game losing streak in the series and haven't beaten the Rams since 2002. That could change, as Denver quarterback Bo Nix simply doesn't lose to NFC opponents. Okay, he has once — in his NFL debut against the Seattle Seahawks . After that, the Oregon product has gone through the conference with relative ease, save for a few comebacks here and there.
This week's game is a test for both the Rams and Broncos as the two Super Bowl contenders have a lot on the line regarding interconference supremacy.
