Best NHL anytime scorer bets, including Brady Tkachuk’s return to Ottawa

Only two NHL games are on the Wednesday slate, but they feature a blockbuster matchup.

Brady Tkachuk returns to Ottawa for the first time since the Senators dealt him to the Florida Panthers . This wasn't a mutual breakup, as the Ottawa Senators are rightfully mad that their former captain wanted to leave. His brother Matthew Tkachuk will be there to help him get through what will be a hostile environment.

The other game features the Buffalo Sabres hosting the Philadelphia Flyers . Both matchups are expected to start at 7:30 PM ET.

These are the best anytime-goal-scorer bets.

Brady Tkachuk anytime goal (+165 at DraftKings)

There's no better way to shut up a rowdy hockey crowd than to light the lamp. That's exactly what Brady Tkachuk will try to do against his former squad. Tkachuk started the season slowly but rebounded with two straight hat tricks.

The former Senators captain has scored six goals this season and plays on the Panthers' No. 1 power-play unit. Two of his goals have come with the man advantage. He isn't afraid to fire shots on net, with at least four shots on goal in three straight contests.

Tim Stutzle will be fired up to stick it to his former teammate and prove he can be the Senators' star player. The Sens' centerman currently leads the team with five goals. Bad blood may exist between Stutzle and Tkachuk, as he said he hasn't spoken to the Panthers' left winger.

The 24-year-old has five career goals in 17 career games against the Panthers. He'll see time on Ottawa's number one powerplay unit and be a threat anytime he touches the puck.

The Philadelphia Flyers haven't had many bright spots, but Matvei Michkov has ben one of them. He's the Flyers' leading scorer with six, three of them on the power play.

Sometimes you have to ride the hot hand, and that's what you should do with the Russian right winger. Michkov has lit the lamp in three straight games, including two in Philly's last game against the Colorado Avalanche .
