Mike Washington Jr. steals most of the rushing work in Vegas in Week 8
Mike Washington Jr. handled 25 of the Raiders' 28 carries by running backs in Week 8 but could only turn them into 83 yards against the Jets.
Las Vegas Raiders RB Mike Washington Jr. carried 25 times for 83 yards in a Week 8 win over the New York Jets.
Why It Matters: The rookie entered with just 40 carries on the season to go with a 4.9 yards per attempt average, so this comes as a bit of a surprise even though Ashton Jeanty has struggled to run the ball efficiently this season. Based on head coach Klint Kubiak's postgame comments, it appears Washington will continue to factor very heavily into the running game plans moving forward while Jeanty handles most of the work in the passing game. As such, Washington should be considered a RB3/flex option for Week 9 against the 49ers - albeit a low-end one.
