The only fireworks provided in Piscataway, New Jersey, on Thursday in the UMass-Rutgers game were by the Minutemen .
That was until after UMass clocked the Scarlet Knights 37-21 in the season opener as an almost 30-point underdog.
Someone with Rutgers forgot to tell the people charged with setting off the fireworks after the game it was a terrible idea.
